Project Brilliance

Making a World of Difference

The Garden Road School is committed to serving a diverse population including children with learning differences. Its approach to learning lends itself to the creation of an integrated classroom where children with learning differences can learn alongside their typically developing peers.

Project Brilliance is a research based, non-invasive, approach designed to enhance, strengthen and support individuals with learning differences, developmental delays and neurological challenges.

We incorporate new and proven alternative methods such as: HANDLE (Holistic Approach to Neuro-Development and Learning Efficiency), dance and movement therapy, art and music therapy, and nutrition. We pay great attention to the learning environment with an emphasis on ecology; light, textures, materials, natural fibers, and the arrangement of the learning space.

    We offer:
  • Supportive individual care
  • Commitment to the potential of each child
  • Specific and acute observation techniques and tools
  • Current research and a network for alternative approaches
  • Workshops and support for families

Our staff consists of trained practitioners and advisors from various fields in special education, occupational therapy, dance and movement psychotherapy, and H.A.N.D.L.E.
